About Frame Size Lab
Independent dimension tools for pictures, photos, posters and mats.
Frame Size Lab is an independent reference project operated by Noah Levy. It helps you compare dimensions before you choose a frame or plan a decorative arrangement.
Our tools separate full artwork size, mat-window size, nominal frame opening and outside frame dimensions. They combine published reference dimensions with original arithmetic and proportional diagrams.
Editorial approach
Guides are authored and published under the Frame Size Lab name. We create the original calculations and diagrams and explain the assumptions in our methodology.
We cite the sources used, label manufacturer-specific conventions and publish a reviewed date. We do not claim professional framing certification, physical product testing or universal fit. Review our methodology and source list.
Funding
Frame Size Lab does not display ads or use affiliate links. Any paid relationship will be disclosed where it is relevant. Commercial relationships do not determine calculator results.
